70th Anniversary of the re-dedication Service of Pakefield Parish Church70th Anniversary of the re-dedication Service of Pakefield Parish ChurchWhen you enter Pakefield Parish Church you are entering a holy place that many generations have spent time in to worship, meet with others and enjoy time with our Lord . With the Tower Crosses shining out across the area, accompanied by the ringing of the bells, a large congregation attended the 70th Re-Dedication Anniversary Service in Pakefield’s beautiful clifftop Church on 29th January 2020.
The joyful singing of some of the original well-loved hymns of the 1950 Service was greatly enhanced by the accompaniment of the popular Pakefield Singers and organist Terry Hepworth along with Bible Readings from our reader Trudie Jackson
Rev. Sharon Lord read out personal memories of people, including those who had attended the original service. Bob Collis provided the congregation with a sobering tale of the extent of the bombing in Lowestoft, with the inevitable tragic suffering of innocent civilians, not to mention the huge amount of damage.

This is a reminder to us today of the consequences of conflict and we pray for peace for all nations today and forever.
